He didn’t even mind that Shizuo had called him by that nickname, could only focus on the fact that Shizuo was smiling at him, had just confirmed what he said and he didn’t know what to say. “That…That makes me very happy…” he breathed with an answering smile and a louder purr. He didn’t care about naming whatever they had at the moment. He was happy and Shizuo was happy, and that was all that mattered, right?

Shizuo smiled even more. He didn’t know what do call their ‘relationship’ now, but he didn’t care. He was happy with Izaya at this moment. Who cared about titles? He nuzzled Izaya’s ears some more. “How are these so soft.” He asked as he nuzzled some more. Cat ears were naturally soft but Izaya’s were unnaturally soft.

“Hm? Oh, I just wash them…” he replied, reaching up to run a finger over his left ear. “Maybe it’s some of the conditioner from my hair stuff? I wouldn’t really know, but I also try to brush them…” He tried all that he could to make his ears and tail at least presentable just in case someone did see them in public and they wouldn’t be a mess.
